We are pleased to announce that Delphi is merging with eHow and Idea Exchange. This change will enable Delphi to continue as a strong and growing business. Delphi Forums will grow through cross promotion to an audience of millions of eHow and IdeaExchange members. Delphi members will also have access to the ideas and expertise that are the hallmark of eHow and IdeaExchange.

You will find the Delphi services expanding and improving because Delphi will receive new engineering and customer service attention and resources. All three sites will have integrated technology, content, and services.

The benefits to Delphi are very exciting:

1. Our combined communities boast nearly six million members of similar interests.
2. Millions of new, interested people will now have access to your forums and Delphi services. So dust off your forum shelves and freshen up because we are about to open the gates and invite millions of like-minded people in the Delphi doors.

Free access to forums will continue as is. At the same time, DelphiPlus will take on greater importance. There will be additional exciting announcements to follow including unique opportunities for Delphi Plus members and DelphiPlus features that bundle features from eHow and IdeaExchange. Important: Delphi.com URL to be changed

The Delphi.com domain name will not be part of the merger, so starting this week we will begin the process of transferring from www.delphi.com to www.delphiforums.com. From now on you should use http://forums.delphiforums.com/webtag to get to your forums. The domain name change will primarily affect the bookmarks and links that our users utilize. This domain name change will also affect DelphiPlus members, their email accounts, and web storage in different ways. If you are a DelphiPlus Member, please visit the DelphiPlus Forum for more details on how these changes will affect you.

Other than the transition to a new URL and minor branding and navigation changes to integrate with eHow and IdeaExchange, there are no plans to change the look or feel of Delphi Forums. You will still be able to participate in your forums just as you do today. The forums will continue to run on the same platform operated by Prospero Technologies.

This change continues the evolution of Delphi that extends back to 1982. Delphi has always been about bringing people together and exchanging ideas. Families, friends, organizations and people from around the world have used Delphi to connect with each other. Merging with eHow and IdeaExchange will continue this tradition and build on the tight-knit communities that make Delphi special.
